điện thoại nhìn đồng hồ cũng gần 8 giờ, sáng thứ bảy định nằm &quot;nướng&quot;
thêm một chút nhưng bà bạn &quot;tà lẹt&quot; đã lôi đầu tôi thức dậy. Vấn đề gạo
nói riêng thực phẩm nói chung không sớm thì muộn sẽ khan hiếm là đều ai cũng
đoán ra vì người thì ngày càng sanh sôi nảy nở mà đất trồng trọt càng ngày càng
nhỏ lại. Các quốc gia sản xuất lúa gạo như Việt Nam, Trung Quốc, Thái Lan cứ lo
phát triển kỹ nghệ hoặc lo thu hút du khách nên cứ ù nhau lấy đất ruộng xây
nhà, xây cửa, xây đường xá, xây khách sạn, lập công viên. Nghe nói ngày xưa
Trung Quốc nghèo một ngày chỉ ăn có một bữa cơm bây giờ họ có tiền có bạc ăn
một ngày 2, 3 bữa cứ nhìn dân số của họ chỉ tính nhẩm cũng biết tại sao gạo lại thiếu,
năm nay trời không thương còn thêm sâu bọ làm mùa màng thất thoát tình trạng
khang hiếm càng thêm thê thảm.&nbsp; Ngày hôm qua điện thoại về nhà bà chị than
quá mạng, gạo lên giá “ào ào”, dân nghèo càng khổ, những người được “viện trợ”
hàng tháng như bà chị tôi cũng bị ảnh hưởng, tiền Mỹ xuống giá mà cái gì thì
cũng tăng vọt gấp mấy lần, muốn xin thêm cũng thấy ngại vì ở nước ngoài thân
nhân cũng không khá gì, họ lo cho bản thân họ còn chưa xong tới đâu người khác
(dĩ nhiên có người ngoại lệ). Đó là chuyện Việt Nam còn ở Mỹ khi nghe người bạn
nói gạo&nbsp;tự nhiên tăng giá như nước vỡ bờ làm tôi ngạc nhiên. Nói nhỏ bà
con đừng cười, thật ra tôi không biết giá gạo lúc trước là bao nhiêu thì làm
sao mà biết nó lên hay xuống, vài tháng mới hết bịt gạo 50 lbs, thì chuyện giá
cả lên xuống năm ba đồng làm sao mà nhớ, hơn nữa vật giá ở đây có tăng thì tăng
từ từ chứ đâu có “ào ào” như ở Việt Nam.</span></p>

đô, hôm nay thì 22 đô rồi không biết ngày mai sẽ bao nhiêu, hỏi tại sao giá gạo
lên lẹ quá vậy, họ trả lời gạo mới nhập, giá mới có trời mà biết họ nói thiệt
hay nói dóc, cái cảnh đầu cơ tích trữ tăng giá thị trường cứ tưởng không thể xảy
ra ở đây, nào dè nó cũng lưu vong theo mình tới xứ người.</span></p>

thử hỏi cái nào ngon hơn. Ở xứ này mà còn sợ đói, không có gạo thì ăn bánh mì,
thằng Mỹ có ăn cơm đâu mà nó cũng khỏe như trâu, chỉ sợ muốn ăn mà bác sĩ không
cho, ăn nhiều gạo quá sẽ bị tiểu đường. </span></p>
